Star 100 Panel Discussion: Elections 2020. Ghana: Where To Now?

With less than 40 days to go until Ghana’s presidential and parliamentary elections, all eyes are on Ghana: a USD65bn economy which has experienced five peaceful transitions of power since 2000, home to the secretariat of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area and the place of origin of some of the most celebrated names worldwide, from the arts to architecture. With the budget statement having been read just this week, we ask ourselves whether internally, the “adowa” dance of decision-making and the allocation of resources are in step and if the national messaging for the Diaspora to return to build the nation, is in tune with the latter’s aspirations.  Join us this evening, where we will be discussing these themes at Star 100’s panel discussion themed: “Ghana, Where To Now?” moderated by Songhai Advisory Managing Partner, Nana Adu Ampofo, with Kwame Pianim, the celebrated Ghanaian economist and Patrick Stephenson, Head of Research, IMANI Centre for Policy & Research, as esteemed panellists.

We are an African-owned and managed firm delivering local knowledge in support of transformative and sustainable economic outcomes in the region. Please get in touch with any questions: questions@songhaidvisory.com
